Baba oğluna söz vermişti, bu hafta sonu sinemaya götürecekti onu; ama hiç dışarıya çıkmak istemediğinden, bir bahane uydurması gerekiyordu.
Aklına birden gazetenin ilavesi olarak verilen dünya haritası gözüne ilişti.
Hemen dünya haritasını küçük parçalara ayırıp oğluna döndü ve dedi ki;
– Eğer bu haritayı düzeltebilirsen seni sinemaya götüreceğim, dedi. Sonra da dinlemeye devam etti.
Aklından “en iyi coğrafya profesörü gelse, bu haritayı düzeltemez “diye geçiriyordu.
Aradan on dakika geçtikten sonra oğlu babasının yanına koşarak geldi ve:
– Baba haritayı düzelttim, artık sinemaya gidebiliriz, dedi.
Babası önce inanamadı ve görmek istedi.
Gördüğünde gözlerine inanamadı. Tüm haritayı birleştirmişti oğlu.
Merak etti ve nasıl yaptığını sordu.
Oğlu babasının gözlerinin içine bakarak cevap verdi:
– Bana verdiğin haritanın arkasında bir adam vardı. Adamı düzeltince, dünya kendiliğinden düzelmişti. Adam böylece anladı ki “Akıl akıldan üstündür.”
